i have three tanks, that I have had running for a year and a half. Lately I have had some fish deaths, and some of my fish in my 30 gallon look a little off. I had a dead tiger barb, and a dead gourami within a week of eachother, with no sign of illness. water parameters are as follows;
ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10ppm.
temp 78 degrees.
i feed a balanced diet and keep regular water changes. just bad luck? or could there be an illness that i can't see in my tank?
the fish died about a month ago, and now everyone seems fine, except one other tiger barb looks pale and a little lethargic, but still eating.
what is ideal or acceptible nitrate levels??
