fish to control snail population

i have a 30 gallon tank and there are hundreds of snails. I am interested in something that will control my snail population. I really am just interested in smaller fish so i don't want something that grows 10 inches. I live in newfoundland. the largest city is 250,000 people and they don't have much variety here. so if possible the less rare something is the better chance I have at getting it. So any suggestion are appreciated... thanks.

I'd advise against using fish to control the snail overpopulation. Avoiding overfeeding is all it takes to prevent them from proliferating excessively. Here's the thread on methods of how to control their population.
