Fish for a 3 gal tank?
I've got my 5 gal. Freshwater tank planted. Now I'm considering bringing the 3 gal. cilindrical tank (9 1/2" diameter, 11 1/8" tall.) and setting it on my desk at work. It has an undergravel air pump filter system, really the most basic setup you can have. I have a few questions though. I've had this tank set up before, the fish died. I've given it a through scrub down with hot water and set it to dry for a long while. I noticed that the gravel gets sandwiched between the wall of the tank and the plastic bottom spacer thing (probably more of an annoyance to me than a real issue). So I'm wondering;
1. has anyone used the decorative glass pebbles as their 'gravel'
2. what size fish would be good for this tank?
I am currently thinking a betta fish, but thought I'd see if anyone has any additional ideas. I'd like them to be fairly clean fish if possible, but I don't want to over stock it either. I've browsed the fish profiles, just having a hard time finding the little fish.
