I noticed them having a tank with plants saying "Live Water Plants- 3$"

As for the fish, I might get a Mustard-Gas Betta. WOuld that look good with blue gravel, a real plant and a fake mini anchor?

You can have only one anabantid. Either a dwarf gourami or a betta.

Would prefer a betta. Dwarf gouramis are mostly induced with hormones to ensure females change their sex to males and are less hardier compared to a betta.
