So I got my bigger tank used for 15 bucks. Just needs to be cleaned up a bit and needs a stand, which hopefully my dad will get started on soon for me. Anyways.. here's my question..
Once I have that tank cycled, I am going to move my tetras from my ten gallon in it. I don't plan on adding any new fish right away. But I will be buying some more after everything looks stable. Gradually though.
My question is this:
I have 3 bloodfin tetras, 2 red eye tetras, and 2 white skirt tetras. I would like each kind to have a school. Would adding 3 bloodfins, 4 red eyes, and 4 white skirts (spaced out purchases of course) be okay in the long run for the bio load and size of my tank? I also have 2 otocinclus cat fish, but I'm not as much concerned about them at the moment. And I've also heard for whatever reason odd numbers are better for groups of fish. Any suggestions?
