FINALLY :) :) complete!

Well irony has hit me again hehe but this time its nice.

As some of you may remember I was having toruble with my cycling getting past the nitrite spike. well im am officially at 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and 40ppm nitrates :) :)

Very nearly went bad...got a bout of Ich at the end but all signs ofit have diapeared and I have 1 malachite green treatment to got then I can finish stocking :)

Thanks for everyones good advice

p.s.

The ironic thing about all this is i bought Prime to protect the fish from nitrite levels and the day i buy it thencycle completes :)

Congrats. My tank took forever to cycle too (8 wks). What types of fishies will you be stocking it with>

I'm thinking some cardinals and maybe some type of gourami pair like maybe honeys. I'm waiting 1 full week before adding stock just to allow the biofilter to stabilize

i did get a wakeup call on how many water changes I did. The bottle of start right I was using is almost gone. that treats 480 us gallons. also used a different conditioner before that and it is gone. that bottle was good for 300 gallons.

water changes over last 8 weeks almost 780 gallons!

Bloody hell! How bigs the tank?

Was it a fishless or stocked cycle?

I am glad your tank is finally ready. Good luck with your fish.

Kindest Regards,
Amanda

Keeping fish its not a hobby it is a passion!

55 gallon, 44 gallon, one 20 gallon tank, three 10 gallon tanks, and a 2.5 gallon all with real plants.

I have MTS and there is no cure.

Congrats, I'm a little jealous!!! My nitrites havent gone down yet, but I'm really hoping they will soon. I did go through some deaths though, but four tetras are hanging in there and seem to be good now!
I'm with everone else, lets see some pictures!!!
