Ok so, I am about to the end of my cycle for a 60 gallon aquarium. I have a heavily planted tank already (set up the plants 2 days ago, with a large piece of drift wood. I looked today at the tank and the drift wood is starting to get this milky white filmy layer all over the surface.... Did I do something wrong? is this normal? im thinking that it has to do with the plants I added. Although I bought them at a very nice, upscale aquarium botique, that I doubt would sell deseased plants or anything like that. Is there something I can do to get rid of that layer. is there a type of aquatic life that will eat the layer? or is there a type of chemical to add that will get rid of it? its also starting to form on the waters surface, but not too noticabily. Any suggestions?
