Feeding and going out of town

Hi-

I have to leave Friday afternoon and won't return home until late Sunday night. I know I've read that my fish can go without food for this length of time. I hate having someone feed them instead of myself as anyone who doesn't keep fish ALWAYS overfeeds.

Just to be sure will someone confirm for me that my loaches, barbs & catfish will be fine for this length of time without their 2 X daily small meals?

Thanks!
Kym

hmm you could start to lessen the amount you feed them now,
and then buy a feeder.they'll get a portion and nothing more,
so you won't have to worry about them being over fed.
or get some pots and put the portions of food in them,
then whoever feeds the fish for you can't get it wrong.

Your fish will be fine without any food for a couple of days. If you can't stand to not feed them though get one of those pill cases that have the days marked on them. Just put in enough food for each day and tell your feeder to only add the day's food and nothing more.

Thanks. I'll do the pots and hide the food so the tank sitter won't be tempted. I'm just remembering that's exactly what I read here somewhere awhile back...sorry to be redundant!

Your fish will be totally fine :) In fact, it's good for them to have a fast every once in a while.
