No it should cloud up when you do a water change. The first time you add water to sand it will cloud up if you don't get the dust rinsed out. Which is nearly impossible to get it all.

Btw everyone's tanks look bare in the beginning. Its a working progress that we all enjoy watching and learning about. You should see my dirt tank! LoL now that thing is bare!

It sounded like you meant it shouldn't cloud up, so I am not sure if you meant it should or shouldn't? Sorry.

If it does it will be just a little and nothing like this time was. Over a few rinses you should not see it anymore at all.
