Empty 10 Gallon

I have an empty 10 Gallon tank and was wondering if takeing the 3 mollies from my 55 and putting them in the 10 would be a bad idea. Also if i could keep them in a 10, could i keep anything else with them?

3 Mollies in a 10g would be max.

I think that would be fine but an expert should chime in soon.

If you by the "gallon per inch" rule then you are good.

I was setting up a molly breeding tank (15g) and was told that was perfect for 3.

Alright, im gonna wait to what someone else has to say. But your right about the 1inch 1 gallon rule. So in theory they should be fine by themselves. I just want to stock my 55 with fish that prob won't get along with the mollies. But my lil sister picked the mollies out and she loves them so i can't just send them back to the pet store.

Well, not to sound like a cruel person, i was just planing on letting my other fish eat there fry. If any did make it to adults i would try to sell them i guess or give them to a friend or something.
