Hello All,

Well I feel stupid. I had the intake hose hooked up to the top of the canister rather than the bottom. For some reason I was thinking that the vacuum should be pulling water rather than pushing it.

Too much wasted time for such a simple answer. Priming was really easy. If I hadn't been a foo' in the first place, I never would have had an issue!

We all have brain cramps once in a while. Glad to hear that you're back on track

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Well, consider the time well spent as you KNOW that you will not have this issue ever again... it's only wasted if you didn't learn anything.... thanks for letting us know that you figured out and fixed that little kink.

Jeff.

Total years fish keeping experience: 7 months, can't start counting in years for a while yet.

The shotgun approach to a planted tank with an LED fixture

Small scale nitrogen cycle with a jar, water and fish food; no substrate, filter etc

i have 2 x eheim 2213 and a t5ip when you clean them out is to open the bottom valve when its in the sink then the top to relieve pressure or youl find it hard to get the top off. To connect it back up the best way is to refill it but as you do so open the bottom vale let a little water thru it and close it. This makes priming it a hell of alot easier.Over fill the filter with aquarium water and put the lid on and then open the top valve and tip it up to fill that part and close it again. Mine are up and running after cleaning in a matter of a minute!!

I also have a fluval 205 and these are also good filters and so easy to prime!

Im waiting for an all pond solutions fe2000 for my new tank to arrive so got another 1 to learn how to

FYI connecting them the wrong way still happens to me and you made me lmao!

Fish will brighten your day even when the world tries to darken it
