I have some gurtredae and threadfins in the same tank as my two frogs.
These frogs also do great in setups similar to bettas.
Given the swimming requirement to get air, I think I will build up one part of the tank with some rock and driftwood. But frankly the 55 gallon tank I have isnt any taller than the normal 20 gallon....its just rather long.
this is actually exactly what I want for my tank
Bosemi rainbows 6x
Pearl Danios 8
American Flag Fish 2-4 paired IF I can find them (Frustrating, I LIVE in Florida, why can't I find these algae machines.)maybe if I take a bucket to a retention pond....
and then maybe 2 frogs... Or maybe not...
I had kind of wanted some Denison Barbs, but I think the tank would be reaching its limit...depending on how big some of the fish actually get.
Its going to be low light planted. We are movign next week (eek no fun) so after we get everything in place and cycle the tank, I will start looking for fish..
I'm not a big fan of Mollies, sad to say... but I think I'll start the tank with the danios, and go from there.
