i am going to the lake tommorrow and with the water down low i should have access to lots of driftwood. i want a nice piece for my main feature in my planted tank. what needs to be done to the wood to make it safe for my aquarium? scrub it and soke it in water for a while maybe? any info will be greatly appreciated. thanks!
ok thanks! i just got back from the lake and i got several good pieces of drift wood and a couple of small sand rocks. i wish i would have gotten more rock. will boiling the wood fade the colors in it? one of them has some good black color to it that is gonna look great in my tank. i may go to the river and see if i can find some more sand rock to use to weight down the wood and make some cave like hiding places. thanks!
