driftwood breaking down?

driftwood breaking down?

Dureing my routine water change i noticed something odd...despite regular gravel cleaning i noticed a large amount of browm silt coming off the bottom...my 90 gallon has two pacu and two pleco that only eat what i feed with little if any extra settling on the bottom..is this normal for the dw to break down?..

Driftwood is organic and it should breakdown, also the pleco rasp on it as part of their diet and often can even make some pretty neat looking designs on the driftwood over time......
