Do I Have Space For More Fish?

I have a 90 litre(23 gallon) tank. Currently, I have it stocked as follows:

- 4 Mollies
- 3 guppies
- 2 swordtails
- 2 dwarf gouramis
- 2 cory's.

I wanted to get a couple of Platys as well but do folks think I have enough space?

I would suggest that you are at the limit in terms of space; fish like room to swim and 11 fish that attain 2+ inches in a 23g doesn't leave much room. I didn't include the corys since they are mainly on the substrate. I would however suggest a couple more corys, they are shoaling fish that need to be in groups and 2 is not sufficient, 3 minimum but you have space for 4 or 5 in total (assuming they are not the larger species).

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
