I have a problem with Diatoms my tank has only been running give or take 3 weeks now. I have tried to cut back on the hours the lights are on didn't seem to help. Need some suggestions on how to deal with the problem? Please

If these are truly diatoms, then this is common for newly set up tanks and they will usually go away with time (three to four weeks), assuming that lighting is not too strong or left on for too long. You can take clean paper towel and fold it into fourths and wipe down the glass and not over feed the tank, and or fishes.

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.
