thanks for the advice. i have started this fishless cycle anyway so will continue with it. i think its be a bit too nervous to do a fish cycle however, i will bear that in mind when it comes time to cycle my next tank (30g - picked it up last night with everything included (filter, heater, gravel, plastic plants which i wont keep)) for £40 - thought that was pretty good. all pretty new - hardly been used. just need to make a stand then i can set it up and start cyclig :D
