LOL! A fortnight is 2 weeks.

Where are you from? I assumed this was a universal word. I am starting a new post in OffTopic to find out who else doesnt know what a fortnight is! I'm shocked! I can't believe this! LOL!

Fortnight was used in another post somewhere and they were asked what that was. I'm in the good ole USA. I've only ever seen fortnight used in nautical terms or romance novels. LOL I'm pretty sure this isn't a romance novel.

LOL!

Thanks, but I wouldn't call myself a genius.

It seems others have cycled really quickly as well so it's not the victory I first thoguht it was however, all tanks are different and some will take longer, or less time, than another despite doing everything the same, so I thoguht I would post anyway and let you know what I did as it's still pretty quick. And who knows? If you do the same, perhaps it would take even less time.

Hope it helped somebody anyway...

I am anti-chemicals, but BioSpira claims to be all natural nitrifying bacteria. I am a believer! :)

I looked for BioSpira after you recommending it to me and it was my intetntio to use it but I couldn't find it anywhere. I had intended using the BioSpira with the filter and gravel form the other tank anyway so it was luck that I had done that. Without the BioSpira though I was just too scared to put fish in. I think it went pretty well anyway though :)
