Smile Cycling new tank

My fiance bought a 31 USgallon tank on monday he got it set up and put water in it on tuesday and has begun putting fish food in the water to cycle.. He wants to give live plants a go. Should he put plants in now? or after its cycled?

Now. It can take a while for plants in a new tank to settle in. Feed them and put them on a light schedule.
