| || | Which cycling method should I choose??
I have a soon-to-be 10 gallon cory cat/betta tank. It's been running for about 2 weeks without anything in it because I can't decide how to cycle it.
I don't think I should use fish to cycle because I know corys are sensitive to water parameters, but they would need to be added before the betta so I can't cycle the tank with the betta.
I have been looking for pure ammonia but no dice so far-- apparently it's on a "government watch list" or something. :(
I'm a little hesitant about throwing cocktail shrimp or fish food in there because I heard it can be very messy and gross, and can even introduce harmful bacteria into the tank!
I don't have access to a healthy tank to seed my tank with.
I'm sort of at a loss--- what should I do?
