unrulyevil.. that was quite... depressing. Ive never used the chat feature... If more people used it i think it would be more attractive, would also reduce the number of posts in the forum.

I was on the other day using it, and then Herky happened to show up and we had a rather pleasant conversation. So by all means, check to see if someone is there.

well there's generally a fair number of people on the forum, I feel like people who just need to ask a quick question should use the chat and get their answer quick. But nobody logs in there normally so nobody really uses it. If the chat feature was used more, i think there would be less repetitious threads about the same kind of problem, moreover, it would reduce threads to more important and difficult questions that require more people to help solve which would in turn allow more people to read it and learn from it also. Of course this all depends on the usage of chat...

So what kind of hoops do you need to jump through to use chat? I can't find anything here stating what you have to do to join. It just says I haven't met the requirements yet.

Krinedawg,

I'm pretty sure your status has to change from Junior Member to Member before chat is available. I've only been on the forum since June and I didn't have the chat option right away.

I think you have to reach a certain number of posts before your status changes to member but I'm not sure of the number.

Now that I have chat capability - nobody's in there.

Oh well :0

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.
