Red face Colored sand?

Is there such a creature as aquarium sand (preferably inert) that comes in colors? My daughter's betta tank is the only tank I have left with gravel, and I'd really like to switch to sand, but. . . she says I can only change it if I can find purple or aqua sand (KIDS!) All I'm finding is high-calcium hermit-crab sand - does anyone have any suggestions??

Hmmm... that's funny! Thanks, John - we actually HAVE that stuff - the kids play with it all the time, I just assumed it wasn't fish-safe. Cool! I'll look into that!!! :D Love easy answers!

Jes check into 3M colored quartz also. I was trying to remember the name of some sand earlier and This one I know I have read ppl using it. Especially the black but they have other colors as well.
