cleaning off mineral deposits???

I just turned up my powerhead to full with air bubbles blasting out of it and as luck would have it, the hood got covered with water. Now that it has dried out, there is a gritty white deposit left behind... I HAD THIS HAPPEN BEFORE!!! AAAAAAAAARRRRRGHHHHHHHH

is there any way that I can get rid of this?
thanks :D

Safe & Easy from API works very well on that kind of stuff. Also I read that soaking in vinegar does the trick too and it's cheap. Also the cleaning product CLR (Calcium, Lime, Rust) is good too, just have to make sure you rinse it off REALLY well.
