I run an Eheim 2217 on 80 gal tank and with moderate fish load,, it should be fine for 75 gal should you choose the eheim.
This is the first canister other than HOT magnum I have ever used,always used Emperor series HOB filters by marineland and still run several of them. am pleased with the Eheim though and think i will phase out my HOB filters when finances permit.
