I dont know, rock that fizzes when in contact with vinegar usually means bad stuff inside which will leech into the water eventually. 9 times out of 10 it will be toxic so its not worth the risk IMO

But then again i found some "zebra print" rocks on the side of the road one day so i pulled over and took a dozen or so, cleaned them up and stuck them in my tank ha ha

That was before i knew about the vinegar trick , i still havent tested them just incase they fizz LOL

hahaha, I'll check the fizz factor tomorrow. Hopefully I'm in the clear, however, the more I look at the rock...err..glass in question, the more unattractive it gets.
