There is a Siamese Algae eater at my lfs in a show tank and it is 9 1/2 inches and very territory

I'm believe you're confusing the SAE with a CAE. CAEs can reach 9" but an SAE rarely exceeds 6".
If it is a SAE I'd love to see a pic, as it would be a freak of nature, lol.

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...

I didn't see a Tropical Fish Profile for the SAE or the CAE. Are they under different names?

Both fish are cyprinids, not catfish, in case you were in the wrong category. And the CAE is included in the profiles, the SAE is not (yet).

Just checked the CAE profile, I think it needs revision, stuff is missing. Will get to that. B.
