Question Can i keep 6 ember tetras with a betta?

So, its a 6 gallon and I have had this betta for 1.5 years as long as i introduce the tetras first, can i keep them together? I dont know if thets overcrowded or what.
Theres a filter, heater and air pump. ph 6.8-7.2 temp 76-82. I dont know!

Short answer is no. The Ember Tetra are far too small, the Betta is likely to view them as food; mine ate neons that are two or three times the size. Also, I would not risk characins in with a male Betta, they can become nippy; I guess the temptation of a long-fin fish just sitting there is too much. Even otherwise peaceful characins can get quite nippy with such fish.

Assuming you like and want to keep the Betta, leave him alone in the 6g.
