Calling water department in an hour...what to ask?

I am finally calling to find out what the hardness is for my city's water. While I'm on the phone, is there anything else I should ask them about the water?

if they add chloromine to the water. chloromine, unlike simple chlorine, does not evaporate into the air but is at least as deadly to fish, making it necessary to use water conditioners. even if you use conditioners anyway, it would probably be good to know.
