Uh.. Oto cats are great diatom eaters... they only grow to a little over an inch. Also they're cheaper and not aggressive at all. Golden algae eaters will eat teh brown stuff also but will be aggressive as it gets big. Mine started preying on other fish's slime coats and killed some. Thats what made me switch to Otos.

my petsmart carries them. Also check with your lfs and see if they can order them for you or something.

how much does it cost to get them special ordered? and whats the price on one of them?

well at petsmart is a buck per fish. However one thing to note is that Otos are very sensitive to water conditions so when you get them be sure to acclimate them properly. I set up a drip. As for special ordering them, i ahve no idea. It would depnd on your fish store.

correct these are sensitive fish and prefer schools.

ask your fish store if they would place an order for you, if you go ahead and do it yourself its going to be $10 spent on fish and $30+ on shipping as it has to be overnight, it would also be good to have the fish store ship them in because as mentioned they are sensitive. it wont hurt to ask your LFS sales person, the worst they can say is no.
