I'm setting up my first brackish aquarium, and am wondering, do I use fresh or saltwater tests? I've got an ammonia test kit for both fresh and saltwater, so I assume that will work, but what should I use for the others?
Hmm, I'm using the API master test kit- but it's labeled for freshwater. And all the color cards also say "freshwater" on them. I've also got a separate API ammonia test and that came with two different cards for fresh and salt, so which one would I refer to? I'd assume that all the other tests work that way too?
I've also got the Seachem ammonia test kit which is the one I use- it's unaffected by fresh/salt. I'd rather not buy all Seachem tests though, cuz they're pricey!
What is your salinity? This is interesting. I think you may have to contact the manufacturer to get an accurate answer.
