Lightbulb Bought used 10g tank.it is nasty

Going to clean it up.Can i use some water out of my 29g tank to cycle it..Going on vacation friday.will start 10g when i get back in a week.Thanks to all who reply.

Their is no bacteria in the water. You need to use some of your filter media from the 29g and that would more than likely cycle it. Not to be rude but why go through the trouble of buying a nasty used 10g tank? A new one would only be 10 dollars.

How nasty is nasty? Vinegar and some hot water works wonders. Baking soda can be made into a paste that is good for scrubbing. Bleach can be used, but only if everything else has been exhausted. Just don't use any kind of soap.
