Blinking Brochis

OK, I didn't think fish had eyelids and, while I expect that is generally correct, that doesn't mean that they don't blink. I thought I saw them do something that looked like blinking but I could never see them do it while so still.

Here is a row of Brochis waiting for bedtime (1/2 after normal lights out), watch for 1 and 3 to do their blinking.

Yes, cories and brochis will "blink". Thanks for sharing the video.

As jeaninel said, all the coryadidae will do this. It is not blinking, since you are right, fish do not have eyelids [with a couple exceptions, which I think I mention in my article on light]. They achieve the "effect" by being able to rotate the eyes. To us is looks like a blink.
