Unhappy Biting Problem!!! Help???

Hi All,

Just wanted to drop in and let you know about my tank and see you think about it. I also need some advice.
I currently have a 150 gallon tank with 7 fish in it. One Red Devil Cichlid, 3 Clown Loaches and three small plecos. Fluval FX5 canister filter. Some drift wood and plants. Planning to get a green killing machine UV sterilizer. I also have 2 48" 10K lights. 2 250 watt heaters and enough bubbles to my my tank float. haha

As for my problem my cichlid does not seem to like the new filter. He likes to bite the outlet value. I have noticed now that it is hurting his mouth. Is there anything I can do to me him stop. I would like to keep this filter if possible. Thanks for the input.
