i know plants need blue and red spectrum to photosynthesize and that you idealy want 5500 6700 kelven for planted aquariums. i am getting down to my final descision on what tubes to get and i have two in mind but im not sure which is better. FYI tank is 24 incehs deep

Ideal for freshwater planted aquariums * 2800K bulbs for optimum plant growth * Emits a warm photosynthetic spectrum to intensify plant color and stimulate plant photosynthesis 2800K bulbs for optimum plant growth. Emits light that stimulates plant photosynthesis and intensifies plant color. Ideal for freshwater planted aquariums.

Color Spectrum Chart Simulates natural daylight with peaks in the red, green, and blue region of the light spectrum to produce light that is appealing to the human eye.

IDK exactly what kinda bulbs you are using. I would go for 6,000-7,000K on a basic tank, because that is what I prefer visually. But any bulb between 5,000-10,000K works.

The 2,800K you listed is not a good choice IMO, I've tried using a bulb with the same color temp and was not happy with it. Also if you look at the spectrum chart there is no red spike.

The second bulb is a little better just looking at the color spectrum, but what is the kelvin rating on that bulb?

Agree with Mikaila31, 2800K is no good. The second spectrum graph looks like the Life-Glo tube if I'm not mistaken. If it is, that is 6700K and in my view an excellent single tube light. With two or more tubes over the tank you can have the same or mix it with something else to highlight blue or red as you prefer.
