Back at it and I have a few Q's
Hi all, I am getting back into freshwater tanks after going Salty for a while. I love my reef tank, but I will be moving to an apartment soon and I will not have the space for all of the saltwater equipment. I have had a freshwater planted tank before, but I switched to saltwater and now I need a little refresher on freshwater. Here's the rundown:
I will be purchasing a 20 long tank and the ideas for it are pretty open. What would you guys recommend for a 20 long. Heavily planted or Cichlids? If I were to go planted, how much flow should I shoot for in the tank? How much light? I don't like the look of the really heavily lit tanks because they are too bright, but I don't want to go to basic with the setup and limit myself on plant choices. If I were to go planted, I would want tetras. How many could fit comfortably into a 20 long? Would a 29 gallon be a better option or is the height a waste?
