First of all I made a rookie mistake and stocked my tank too quickly. :surprise:
Excitement and my kids got the better of me. Then the survivors hung in the current tank for the last 3 months and have done well.
So I have a 35 gallon tank with 3 residents. Male guppy and 2 marble mollie.
The tank is a tall rectangle.
Now my question what are some other fish I can add? Cost is probably $100 or so total. Fish that my girls are looking at are angel fish, tiger barbs, bala sharks and a pleco.
Any ideas of fish I should get or not get from that list. Also other species would help me.
Thanks for your help ahead of time.

First off, welcome to TFK!

I would reccomend in getting some more guppies, they are a shoal fish and enjoy company.

Angels - nice fish, great in taller tanks. They will/can eat baby guppies and some adult guppies when full grown. But relativity peaceful unless breeding.
tiger barbs - if you want a finless angel and guppies, best reserved for a species tank. Tiger barbs are well known fin nippers, so its best to keep them out of temptation way.
bala sharks - a large active fish that can easily grow over a foot in length. Unless you want to upgrade to a 200g tank, best not to keep them.
pleco - depending on the species, they are a great choice! Highly reccomend the smaller varieties like BN, or otocinclus (otos do better in groups however). Definitely don't get a pleco that grows over a foot in length!

A good idea would be to look at some more bottom dwellers; fish like cories and kuhlis come to mind. Even a shoal of midwater swimmers like tetras would be a nice addition to look at too. :)
