Away From Home - Feeding Intervals

I'm going to be away from home several times in January and I'm curious how long do you think my freshwater fish can go without feedings, and how sparse I can make the intervals when they are fed. For instance, is 48 or 72 hours between feedings too long, once or regularly? Is there a good way to condition them for a more sparse feeidng schedule?

I feed twice a day now, small amounts, dry food. They know when it is coming and waste very little.

Thanks

Your fish would be fine for a few days with no food. You could get an auto feeder? But as long as you will not be gone for a long period of time you should be alright. I believe they could go for at least a week with no food... Although I wouldn't try that.

And just before you laid dead weight upon its shores, I stung you in the face for that's the nature of my core.
