Automatiom acclimatization

Hi,

For shrimps or fish lovers, acclimatization seems to take forever, i have wrote a entry on my blog on how can we automate the process using a normal breeding box and airpump.

Please see Kelvin's Crustaceans Adventure: Simplifying, Automating acclimatization

Enjoy.

You don't really explain how your air pump pumps water!

For drip acclimation I put the fish in a dedicated (mine is 2g) bucket and use airline tubing with a valve. I use a couple of clothes pins to attach to the tank and the bucket, create a siphon, adjust the drip and there you go.

Father Knows Best but Abbey knows everything! I once knew everything, then I asked one question.

I do the same except I use suction cup's off cheap thermometer's to hold airline in place.
Adjustable plastic valve from whisper air pump to control the drip and that's it.

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.
