Aquarium Update!

Hey everybody

I haven't been here in a while, and I just thought maybe to share how my 18g aquarium has progressed. (sorry about the rotated photos)

I'm running low on fish (only a couple guppies and a zebra danio), so any advice on which fish and inverts I should put in would be nice. :)
I would like to add my plants aren't looking good in these photos. Maybe it's the purple plant light?

it was my understanding that danios prefer to be in groups, so you may want to get a few more of them.

danios need to be is groups of at least five. if to have male and female guppies i wouldn't have too many fish because you need room for fry

Nice tank

Danios are energetic swimmers and need to be kept in groups. Given that your tank is taller than it is longer, danios might not be a good fit for it.

It sounds like you're a guppy fan so you could have a nice group of all male or all female guppys if you don't want fry all of the time.

You could add a small school of corys for the bottom too.

Guppies are more tolerant of water params but check your ph and hardness to see if corys would do well in your tank. You can check them out in the fish profiles at the top of the forum page - second from left.

Good luck.
