Aquaclear 50 dimensions anyone?

I don't have the filter yet but I am filling the tank. How much clearance do I need to allow behind the tank for the AC50 filter assembly? I can't find dimensions anywhere and our office unit is a 30.

I don't mind leaving a little extra, just in case, but I don't want to leave too much either.

Jeff.

I just installed mine last night and had to move the tank(Thank god it wasn't full yet). You will need about 3 inches behind the tank.

1 38 gallon- 7 Rummy Nose Tetras 2 Dwarf Blue Rams
1 36 gallon Bowfront- Nothing as of yet
1 Ball Python-1 Year 8 Months old

I dunno, I have Aquaclears and like them very much and don't feel the need for a canister. Money is better spent on fish, water conditioner, treatments for common ailments, another heater for redundancy, backup plan(s) for a power failure...
Canadian Fish likes this.

I couldn't agree more.
Also, it is much easier to change the media in an aquaclear, vs a canister.
