aquaclear 20 or tom aquarium rapids canister filter

just want to hear some opinions on these two. trying to figure out which one to buy for a ten and fifteen gallon heavily planted tank. I know a zoomed 501 would probably be the best but im on a budget

Thumbs up for the Aqua Clear 20. I've got one on my 5 gallon and it's virtually silent and cleaning/replacing filter medium is a breeze.

I've got no experience with the other one.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.
