I believe that with ramshorns and MTS, they do need a partner to generate reproduction by exchanging sperm. That's enough to allow them to spawn out of control.

The snail you have is indeed nerite. Only very few can breed in FW conditions but the resulting babies need phytoplanktons in order to survive, which unfortunately is almost non-existent in tank setups. All nerites are sexual so there's no way they can produce fertile eggs without a mate and even proper water conditions.
