Wink Any reasons why i should not buy 55 gallon tank?

My LFS has a 55 gallon tank for only $200. I looked online and found no tanks that size for that cheap! Now I can buy it, but I dont know... Right Now I have a 20 gallon tank and I love fish and want to get more. I cant get any more fish though because of the size. So now i just need some people to tell me yes or no, so please give me your advice/opinion.

did you check out craigslist ? you can find some really good deals on there sometimes. i got my 125 gal from there for $200 and the custom built stand, canister & 2 hob filters also came with it. i had to drive an hour away to get it but i still saved money in the process.

defiently check craigslist, I got one of my 55 Gallons from there, with a stand and canister filter for $75.....you may wanna look at going to a 75 gallon or bigger, IMO the 75 Gallon tank is about 6" deeper, which gives you a bigger footprint to work with and makes aquascaping a little easier.

go for it, but there's no need to spend $200

The reason why you should not buy? hmm... are you planning to move in the near future? If so than.. you should not buy it now.

+1 for Craigslist. I got my complete 100 gl set up (tank, stand, canopy, lighting, the works) for only $300.00. It took a few weeks of looking on-line before I found it but it was worth the wait!
