Any Ideas

Is ther any natural way to rid the tank of fish poop? I was wonder if there is a biological way to rid the tank of fish droppings. I am wondering if there is a way to turn a 46 gallon tank into a self sustaining ecosystem. There has got to be a way to keep the nitrogen, and ph level good with minum tank care.

Heavily planting your tank and keeping stocking to a minimum will cut down on your tank maintenance. Adding some shrimp will help remove a lot of the waste food etc that falls to the bottom but there's nothing that I know off that will allow the tank to self-sustain. A tank is an unnatural environment and so unnatural intervening in the way of water changes and gravel vacs are always required.

Have you seen our new sponsor and read up on that product?

If you shell out some dough, you won't have to do water changes as often.
