if you boil it you still run the risk of any that may be living deep in the wood that may not be reached... if course its all your call ..were it me i would not i would take the loss and create the best tank i can...

sad to say goodbye to the beautiful wood but i'll do whats best for my fish. just rinsing everything in hot water now!
