At least with GloFish the babies have a chance of being sterile and carry the gene, with dyed fish, especially parrots, I've heard of cases where the fish are rendered sterile. Which is an addition onto the already sterility.

yesterday i seen a tattoo'd fish for the first time....
(i have seen dyed fish before though)
anyways, I seen white mollies that had been tattooed with pink and blue stripes and spots.
I was So ticked off but its the only Fish store around so I have to go

Yeah, I don't get the weird hybrids either. As we all learned in Biology 101, certain species cannot crossbreed and produce viable offspring... for a reason. I think mother nature has put these safeguards in place because she knows a whole lot better than we do :P
