So my angels laid eggs two weeks ago and now i got free swimming fry. I was under the impression once they became free swimming mom and dad would no longer protect them. Right now they are actually guarding them very vigilantly. Not one can swim away but i do seem a few dart for freedom every now and then. I have been putting in baby brine shrimp because it looks as though their food supply is gone. Not sure what I should do. As of now I'm just going to let mom and dad do their thing. Any and all suggestions appreciated.
Total years fish keeping experience: 7 months, can't start counting in years for a while yet.
The shotgun approach to a planted tank with an LED fixture
Small scale nitrogen cycle with a jar, water and fish food; no substrate, filter etc
back when i had african cichlid fry i didnt feed anything special, just plopped in the regular sinking pellets and of course the other fish wouldnt eat everylast one so a few were left in the substrate here and there, and the fry eventually would find and peck off them. had the fry free swimming for about a month or two with this method then we had a house fire and i endedup losing alot of the tank. but seemed to work fine for them, mnaybe just feed as normal with these ones but i might reccomend sinking food?
