Ammonia Scare!!!!

So I decided to test the water in my new 36 gallon tank for my angelfish... I tested ammonia and the color was DARKER than the blue for 5.0!!!! :X I was like CRAP HOW THE HECK DID IT GET LIKE THAT? Then I retested it... and it ended up being 0... I think I accidently used the PH or something dropper and thats why it was blue!!! :X

This happened to anyone else? I was so stressed. Wanted to share it lol. I figured I had to have done something wrong... no way it could be 5.0+! :X So I retested.

Yep, it's happened to me. Anytime I get a reading I don't like I always run a retest, just to be sure. I once had a nitrate reading of 80ppm. I thought, "that just can't be". I did a retest and it was 5ppm. I must have miscounted drops. Operator error!
