You should be showing some reading for nitrates. Do a water change. Ammonia and nitrite at 0 doesn't mean you can skip maintenance. There are other pollutants that need to be removed.

Is the tank heavily planted? Why haven't you done a water change in two weeks?

yeah, you should be changing your water every week. I have had my tank established for almost a year now and you gotta do your weekly 15-20% water changes

Ghosty, no one attacked you......They were just concerned why you havent done a water change lately....Thats all..........you came here for advice, they gave it and asked questions themselves........They are just trying to help figure out your issues with a 0 nitrate reading

it wasn't meant to be an attack, sorry if it came off that way...it was more of a run off of lupins post. Sorry for any confusion....meant no "attack" by it!!

have you done a water change since your first post?

sorry just read that way..i was always under the impression you want zero for ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites...i'm going to do my water change today.i'm normally really good because my tank is alittle over crowded, i just didn't realize it had been 2 weeks till i looked at my calander and when i did my water testing i was mistified i was expecting some poor conditions but got zero's. thanx for all your help and sorry for being a bit hot headed
