My ADF is shedding and since he has started he has had a small appetite. His appetite was through the roof up until he started to shed and now he has been shedding for two days. He still eats but not nearly as much. Is it common for them to eat less while shedding?

Yes. Just be sure the frog is not shedding skin due to salt being added to the aquarium.
With exception of treatment method for ICH, all salt really does is increase the salt content of the water and nearly all healthy freshwater fish will do fine without it.

I know there isn't any salt in the tank. I think he's just shedding because he needs to shed.

So you're saying it's normal for them to act funny when they're shedding? Last night he was trying to climb the side of the aquarium but I think that may be because it was nearing time for a water change. (I've since decided to change water twice a week instead of once) Today when I got back from work he was just floating around on the surface and would even let me touch him and pick him up without trying to get away. Which I find unusual.

I hope he's alright.
